After 2015’s Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar are back together in Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, a film by R.S. Prasanna and honestly, the film looks quite interesting.
The trailer of the film was released on Tuesday afternoon at an event held in Mumbai. The two-and-a-half minute video tells the sob story of Mudit, who is madly in love with Sugandha but has an erectile dysfunction issue. The story takes a look at the practical side of romance as Mudit and Sugandha go through an awkward phase between their engagement and marriage.
The film releases on September 1.

Rape is one of the most common crimes against women in India and abroad. One such bizarre incident took place on December 16, 2012, when a 23-year old student who was travelling with her male friend was raped and beaten with an iron rod in a moving bus in Delhi. The same rod was used to penetrate the girl so harshly that her intestines had to be surgically removed before her death. She succumbed to injuries 13 days later.

I&B Minister Smriti Irani has responded to the petition to ban Pehredaar Piya by writing to BCCC (Broadcasting Content Complaints Council).
There is a possibility that Pehredaar Piya Ki might be taken off air, as I&B Minister Smriti Irani has taken a prompt action against the show after coming across an online petition to ban the show, filed on change.org.
Sony TV’s recently-launched daily soap shows a 9-year-old boy falling for an 18-year-old girl, proposing her for marriage, and subsequently getting married to her; followed up by suhaag raat and honeymoon sequences.
Irani has written to Broadcasting Content Complaints Council (BCCC) and has asked them to take immediate action against the show, on priority basis.
The petition to ban Pehredaar Piya Ki, addressed to Smriti Irani, was filed on change.org by Mansi Jain and it has 103,106 supporters so far and counting.
“A 10-year-old impressionable little kid (“piyaa”) caressing and stalking a lady who’s more than double his age and filling sindoor in her “maang” is being telecasted at prime time, family time. Imagine the kind of influence it will steadily and perpetually infuse in the viewers’ mindset.
We want a ban on the serial. We do not want our kids to be influenced by such TV serials,” read the petition.
The show stars Tejasswi Prakash (Diya) and Afaan Khan (Ratan), Suyyash Rai (Abhay), Parmeet Sethi (Harshwardhan Maan Singh) and Kishori Shahane (Padma Singh) among others.
