(From the Blurb)

It is every dad’s nightmare – his little girl goes missing.
For Palash, the sorrow compounds from the incessant replaying of the critical minutes when his ‘Daddy-eye’ faltered, distracted by his own weakness, substance abuse. The loss and the ensuing search sends him spiraling into a divorce and the loss of a steady corporate job. Scouring for his little girl in the brothels of Pattaya he is ensnared in the web of mafia that runs the sex trade of Thailand. When he eventually finds her, will he be able to build back a wasted lifetime, or, is it too late for rescue, for him and his child?

  • My View

Lost in Pattaya is by far, the most different and admirable story that I have ever read in recent times. The Cover Design by Saurav Das is very artistic and surely will act as a catalyst in the success of this book in any form. The slow yet precise narration will make you feel what the protagonist is going through. I actually felt that agony and pain which Palash (The protagonist) was suffering because of his daughter getting lost somewhere. The author has brilliantly presented Palash to be a total misfit in the society where he was living. As the story proceeds further, the author brings forth brilliant and unforgettable characters that help Palash in his quest in finding his beloved daughter. The author has in the beginning created the character of Palash  with full of imperfections but as the story unfolds and moves forward, it was so pleasing to see an altogether different Palash- a better man. The epic moment is when finally Palash meets his beloved daughter after so many days and this is according to me the best moment in the story. The book, Lost in Pattaya doesn’t flicker, it shines brightly, leaving you astounded with its profoundness and alluring narration. We, the Team WordBite, actually thank the Grapevine India Publishers for sending this beautiful book.
